TEN YEAR OLD FOUND WITH PELLET GUN AT SCHOOL
The situation came to the attention of the School Resource Officer at South Thibodaux Elementary School (200 Iris St, Thibodaux) around 10:30 AM Thursday. A school administrator notified the deputy after the administrator received information that the 10-year old had the weapon in his book bag. The boy was removed from class and the weapon recovered. At no time was any student physically threatened with the weapon. At this point, the boy will be charged with bringing a dangerous weapon onto a school campus (R.S. 14:95.2). The investigation is ongoing and school officials will decide the boy’s future at South Thibodaux Elementary School. ###
